A site devoted to thoughts about books, reading, and libraries relevant to Africa mostly by Michael Kevane, co-Director of Friends of African Village Libraries, a small 501(c)(3) non-profit devoted to helping village and small community libraries in Africa. We'd like more games in the libraries

Elliot's monopoly set, bought at the American Rec Center's annual garage sale in Ouagadouou, will probably end up in a Ghana library. It is in English, so not much use here. We've got nice 'mankala' sets in some of the libraries, carved out of huge logs....

Yay! Pictures! Elliot looks a bit thinner- should we send the Girl Scout cookies that are in abundance here these days?
